Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) Develops safer, more durable, and more efficient infrastructure and transportation systems and addresses pressing infrastructure issues.

Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS) Researches and presents workshops on epidemiology, data fusion, methods of nuclear detection, privacy, and data mining.

Center for Dynamic Data Analysis (DyDAn) A U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence, includes several national laboratories and academia.

Center for Transportation Safety, Security and Risk at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. A U.S. Department of Homeland Security National Transportation Security Center of Excellence, focuses on risk analysis and transportation.

Command, Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis (CCICADA) A U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence, focuses on algorithmic methods and analytic tools to solve challenging problems in data.

CounterACT Research Center of Excellence Funded by the National Institutes of Health, develops drugs to counter chemical terrorism and, in particular, antidotes to vesicant poisoning.

EPA Center for Exposure and Risk Modeling (CERM) at the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), develops and applies computational tools for source-to-dose exposure assessments.

Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) Supports research in environmental health sciences and exposure assessment and fosters associated programs in environmental health education and public policy.

Institute for Families  at the School of Social Work. Supports and strengthens individuals, families, and communities by building the capacity of human service professionals and organizations, providing a focal point for training, research, and service activities.

Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy An organization devoted to the theory and practice of planning and public policy scholarship and analysis.

Police Institute and Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) at the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice. Integrates research, problem solving, and policy and practice, working in collaboration with community and law enforcement partners.

University Center for Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response (UCDPER)  A joint initiative of Rutgers University, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, UCDPER marshals the scientific, technical, clinical, and educational expertise of its members to fulfill its academic and real-world missions.
